What is letterpress anyway?

Letterpress is the oldest form of printing dating back to the 14th century. It is considered relief printing, which means that a raised surface is inked and pressed into a sheet of paper offering a tactile quality and nostalgic feel that can't be achieved with any other printing technique. In a letterpress printed piece you can see the distinguished trademark of it's making, with each letter and image conveying an unmistakable impression in the paper, giving it a vivid, three-dimensional appearance.
